Job summary

Prairie St. John's in Fargo, ND is expanding its behavioral health services and seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, perform exams, and coordinate care in a 132-bed facility. The role requires weekends/holidays and rotation shifts.

PMHNPs are not being considered at this time. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnoses, ordering tests, care coordination with the medical team, and patient education for disease prevention and treatment

Qualifications

Advanced nursing degrees required.
FNP focus; PMHNP not being considered.
Licensed as an APRN by North Dakota.
Ability to summarize clinical information in medical records.

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive physical exams, review medical histories, and evaluate current symptoms.
Diagnosis & Treatment: Determine diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe necessary medications and therapies.
Diagnostics: Order and interpret labs, X-ray, and imaging results to monitor progress.
Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on disease prevention and treatment plans.
