Zusammenfassung

College Hospitals is seeking an in-person Activity/Recreational Therapist (Music, Dance, Drama, Art & Recreation Therapy) at the Hawthorne Behavioral Health Campus. You will implement and coordinate therapeutic activity programming for adult inpatients, evaluate treatment plans, and document patient progress in the medical record.

The role requires CTRS/RTC certification, BLS, CPI within 30 days, and weekend availability.

Qualifikationen

• RTC and/or CTRS certification required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider; CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience in an acute psychiatric setting preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends.

Aufgaben

• Provide therapeutic activity services to adult psychiatric patients.
• Perform assessments and develop treatment plans; provide group and individual therapy.
• Plan and coordinate the unit’s activity therapy program and staff in-services.
• Conduct group and individual activity therapy sessions using sound group principles.
• Complete activity therapy evaluations and progress notes within timeframes and quality standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
• Demonstrate interviewing, assessment, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Utilize supervision and feedback to improve practice.
• Support referral development by communicating with families and external agencies.
