Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist for full-time days with no weekends or on-call. The role focuses on inpatient psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and crisis intervention within a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates are ABPN certified/eligible and hold MA licensure with DEA registration, ready to lead nonphysician staff and coordinate with the care team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology at initial appointment and at re-appointment.
• Unrestricted licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of inpatients and assess comorbid conditions.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Provide crisis intervention and maintain thorough clinical records.
• Collaborate with PCPs, nurses, and other clinicians to coordinate care.
• Lead and mentor nonphysician mental health staff as needed.
