Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL is actively seeking an Inpatient General Psychiatrist to join a hospital-employed team focused on adult inpatient care. The role includes admissions evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up for patients within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will collaborate closely with BH Techs, RNs, NPs, social workers, and therapists. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with day hours onsite, a 1:4 call rotation, and a 18‑patient daily

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification in General Psychiatry.
• Completed an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Florida medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.
• Participate in daily treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.

Education

M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry

Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency

Florida medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it
