Job summary

St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Inpatient Facility in Saranac Lake, NY. The role is 24 hours per week with a varying schedule and requires NYS LPN licensure and CPR certification.

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and duties such as providing nursing services, responding to emergencies, maintaining documentation, and contributing to resident education on health topics.

Qualifications

• N.Y.S. Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certified.
• Knowledge of nursing skills and alcohol/chemical dependency programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing/medical services to clients.
• Responds to medical emergencies including transfer to hospital.
• Maintains medical/nursing keys during shift.
• Adheres to Pharmacy Services Policy and related procedures.
• Documents medical information through logbook and email system.
• Conducts nursing assessments and mental status exams.
• Reports medical issues to senior medical staff for progress notes.
• Educates residents on HIV/AIDS, TB, hepatitis and other communicable diseases.
