Job summary

Chesapeake Bay Academy in Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our independent school serving grades 1-12 with diverse learning needs. The role reports to the Middle School Division Leader and is full-time with a contract.

Pay ranges from $46,000 to $56,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits. The educator will plan, deliver differentiated, multisensory instruction, maintain student records, and collaborate with division leaders to implement IIPs for

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in the appropriate content area.
• Current teacher licensure required.
• Teaching experience, particularly at the middle school level, preferred.
• Experience with students who have learning differences or in a special education setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program.
• Differentiate instruction and use multisensory approaches.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Collaborate with division leaders and fellow teachers.
• Support students with academic challenges and provide encouragement.
• Participate in extracurricular activities as agreed.
