Job summary

Spacesaver Corporation in Fort Atkinson, WI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Co-Op. You will assist with detail design and documentation of product lines under supervision of the Product Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities include creating solid models/drawings in Creo, maintaining ISO and ASME Y14.5 documentation, and supporting prototype builds and testing to drive cost, quality, and manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• Solid modeling and drafting capability.
• ProEngineer/Creo experience preferred; AutoCAD helpful.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Good oral, written, organizational, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce designs and documentation to meet project deadlines.
• Use Creo/ProEngineer to create solid models and drawings.
• Prepare detailed component and assembly drawings per ASME Y14.5 and company standards.
• Ensure drawing accuracy, dimensions, tolerances, and product structure.
• Document projects and manage change orders per ISO work instructions.
• Contribute to new product design with ideas and analysis.
• Coordinate prototype builds and testing, report results.
• Interface with design engineers to convey design intent.
