Job summary

UI Health’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chicago seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician to join the division. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical care for high-risk obstetric patients, teach and mentor trainees, and contribute to research and scholarly activity.

Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The Division supports an ABOG-accredited MFM fellowship and serves as an Administrative

Qualifications

• MD required for obstetrics/gynecology practice.
• ABOG board certification required.
• ABOG MFM certification or eligibility required.
• Illinois license eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on- and off-site MFM clinical coverage as attending physician in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform obstetrical ultrasound coverage, interpretation and performance of studies as appropriate.
• Perform ambulatory and procedural services including amniocentesis, CVS, fetal echocardiography, cerclage placement.
• Supervise MFM fellows during L&D rotations and other clinical activities.
• Provide antepartum inpatient service coverage as attending physician.
• Participate in maternal transports and MFM consultations; external call commitments as assigned.
• Develop and deliver didactic education for medical students, residents, and MFM fellows.
• Mentor students, residents, fellows, and faculty in clinical care, education, research, and scholarly activities.
• Participate in maternal morbidity and mortality conferences and related activities.
• This position does not require in-house night call.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

MD or equivalent

Board-certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)

Board-certification or eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (ABOG)

Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Illinois
