Job summary

Titeflex is seeking a Product Design Engineer to design, develop, validate, and continuously improve hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies, end fittings, and attachment processes. You will ensure products meet performance, safety, and quality standards while supporting manufacturing efficiency and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of hose assembly design or related mechanical experience
• Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA)

Responsibilities

• Design hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies, end fittings, swivel fittings, couplings, and assembly systems.
• Develop crimp and swage specifications, tooling, and manufacturing/assembly processes.
• Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs using CAD software.
• Develop inspection requirements including tolerances, test pressures, and durations.
• Ensure designs comply with SAE, ISO, AMS, ASTM standards and customer/regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to define product requirements and new product needs.
• Design tooling and fixtures, including leak test tooling for fabrication.
• Troubleshoot and optimize attachment processes; standardize specs across product lines.
• Provide technical manufacturing support and develop assembly instructions and training.
