Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in applicable field of study/education from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the teaching and learning process and expertise in biology content.
• Classroom teaching experience in secondary education.
• Demonstrated experience supporting diverse learners in a standards-based environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops a high-level, challenging biology curriculum aligned with standards.
• Maintains ongoing curriculum evaluation to meet student needs.
• Collaborates with faculty to deliver instruction for diverse learning styles.
• Implements instruction consistent with BACPS mission and promotes critical thinking.
• Facilitates positive, restorative resolution of issues with students/parents.
• Assesses student performance and provides ongoing feedback.
