BASIS Ed in Arizona is seeking an 8th Grade Physics Teacher to join a bright, passionate team in the West Phoenix Metro Area. The role focuses on lesson planning, engaging instruction, and alignment to the BASIS Curriculum while promoting high-level learning and global citizenship.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in the subject, IVP clearance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; a Master’s in the subject or education and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 24+ credit hours in subject matter.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade-specific lesson plans.
• Provide instruction above grade level in an interactive learning environment.
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS teachers to develop curriculum materials.
• Tutor students to heighten academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to foster achievement and responsibility.
• Support non-instructional functions such as Early Bird, Late Bird and lunch.
• Maintain regular, full attendance and supervise students.
