Job summary

Morgan County Schools is seeking a 2nd Grade Teacher (Currently filled by LTS) at Widmyer Elementary School in Berkeley Springs, WV. The role requires a valid teaching certificate, background check, and compliance with WV codes.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, using technology, delivering rigorous instruction, and collaborating with staff and families. The position reports to the Principal and follows MCBOE terms with a 200-day minimum.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate licensure to teach in the required grade and subject.
• Criminal background check as required by WV law.
• Meets the qualifications outlined in WV Code §18A-3-2a.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with WV curriculum and district standards.
• Uses 21st Century technology to enhance instruction and learning.
• Delivers rigorous instruction to all students and differentiates for diverse needs.
• Collaborates with special education staff to support IEP goals.
• Maintains open communication with parents and staff to support student learning.
• Plans and supervises activities and assignments and participates in staff development.
