Join LAPP in Florham Park, NJ as an Innovations Engineer and lead innovation initiatives across LAPP Americas. You will conduct technology scouting, manage R&D, and collaborate globally to shape the future of industrial connectivity. Under the general direction of the Director of Engineering, the Innovations Engineer is responsible for driving innovation initiatives across LAPP Americas, including R&D / technology exploration, technology scouting, prototyping, project management, and collaboration with global innovation functions. This role monitors emerging technological, regulatory, and economic trends to identify opportunities that align with LAPP’s long-term strategic direction. Operating closely with the global innovation and advanced technology function (currently based in Stuttgart, Germany), this role enables LAPP Americas to proactively shape the future of industrial connectivity solutions. This position is based out of LAPP Americas headquarters in Florham Park, NJ.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
No specific certifications required.
Attendance at technology, and industry trade shows, supplier visits, and committee/association events as needed once experience level is established.
Fluency in English, ability to speak effectively with suppliers, industry contacts and employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Advanced knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD.

After thorough market analysis, LAPP takes many factors into consideration when determining base salary such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, etc. of the candidate. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 plus participation in LAPP's bonus plan.
