Job summary

Linda Werner & Associates seeks an experienced Public Policy Manager II to drive innovation policy initiatives, create hands-on experiences with AI, wearables, VR, and other emerging technologies, and engage policymakers and industry partners.

The role collaborates with Policy, Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams to showcase real-world impact and policy implications of technology innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of policy or related experience with a focus on AI or emerging technologies.
• Experience working with senior level stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of technology policy and emerging tech considerations.
• Ability to manage programs, campaigns, events and stakeholder engagement across multiple teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on technology demonstrations for policy audiences involving AI, wearables, VR, and other emerging technologies.
• Design, develop, and execute innovation-focused policy experiences and events for policy stakeholders.
• Develop outreach programs and policy campaigns highlighting AI innovation value.
• Engage policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, and other external stakeholders.
• Build partnerships and coalitions to advance innovation policy objectives.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, Partnerships, and global Policy teams.
• Develop and manage policy programs and campaigns for emerging tech and AI products.
• Lead smaller advocacy campaigns and contribute to larger initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advocate for AI innovation and translate complex tech/policy topics for diverse audiences.
