Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics in Meridian, ID is seeking an Innovation Engineer who will graduate in 2027 to join our hands‑on robotics engineering team. You will prototype mobile robotics systems, test sensors, and contribute to safety hardware and rapid prototyping.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Computer Science.
• Robotics experience through coursework, internships or self‑initiated projects.
• Experience building robot subsystems: wiring, sensors, motors, controllers or mechanisms.
• Comfort using tools, multimeters and debugging physical systems.
• Basic electronics and wiring
• Troubleshooting sensors and actuators
• Prototyping and testing ideas quickly
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Entry‑level programming (Python, C/C++, Arduino, PLCs)

Responsibilities

• Prototype sensors, cameras and safety devices on robotics test benches.
• Wire and test E‑stops, safety relays, pendants and controllers.
• Evaluate industrial components such as wireless IO modules.
• Support robot simulation experiments.
• Document findings to support engineering decisions.
