Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a qualified behavioral health professional at the Denver Correctional Complex to provide substance use disorder services to inmates. You will perform evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and clinical interventions under supervision.

Responsibilities include collaborating with mental health colleagues, ensuring accurate documentation, and guiding non-clinical staff in behavioral health care. Applicants must hold Colorado licenses.

Qualifications

• Licensed social work or counseling licensure in Colorado.
• Must maintain licensure/certification in addiction counseling.
• Experience with behavioral health care in inmate populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance use disorder treatment under clinical supervision.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals for co-occurring issues.
• Maintain comprehensive behavioral health records accurately and timely.
• Ensure continuity of care and proper referrals within the facility.
• Conduct crisis intervention per clinical standards.
