Job summary

Iowa National Guard seeks a qualified professional to provide casework for incarcerated individuals at the Iowa State Penitentiary under general supervision. Responsibilities include case management, group facilitation, participation in disciplinary and pre-parole meetings, and recommending release based on behavior.

You will document observations to support consistent client change principles. Applicants must meet one of two minimum requirements: four years of full-time experience in guidance

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time work in guidance and related counseling services.
• Education and/or experience totaling four years with 30 semester hours equals one year.
• CDL and endorsements may be required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual case management and group facilitation for incarcerated individuals.
• Participate in disciplinary, classification, and pre-parole committee meetings.
• Recommend individuals for release based on behavior and attitude.
• Communicate and document observations to ensure effective case management.
