Job summary

MISTRAS in Houston, TX seeks an In-line Inspection MFL/GEO Data Analyst (Level 2-3) to evaluate and interpret pipeline data from MFL and Geometry tools, coordinating with clients for verification and producing QA/QC checked reports.

You will correlate findings with historical data, communicate results to clients, and contribute to continuous improvement by mentoring junior staff and establishing analysis techniques.

Qualifications

• Interpret MFL and Geometry pipeline data to identify anomalies, depth, and categorization.
• Perform data quality assessments, run analyses, apply anomaly rules, and conduct QA/QC checks on reports.
• Correlate findings with historical data and field measurements from client samples.
• Generate and present final inspection reports, and provide client support via phone, email, and in person.
• Establish analysis techniques, interpret industry codes and standards, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Interpret MFL and Geometry pipeline inspection data to identify anomaly locations, depth, and categorization on oil and gas pipelines.
• Perform data quality assessments, run standard/non-standard analyses, apply anomaly interaction rules, and conduct final QA/QC checks on completed survey reports.
• Correlate findings with historical inspection data and physical, hands-on measurements taken from client-provided corrosion samples.
• Generate and present final inspection reports tailored to client specifications; provide ongoing technical support to clients.
• Establish analysis techniques/procedures, interpret industry codes and standards, perform advanced analysis, and mentor/train junior team members.
