Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7-10 years of progressively Inland Marine underwriting experience.
• Professional insurance designation is preferred (AICPCU, RPLU).

Responsibilities

• Maximizes underwriting profitable new and renewal business within authority.
• Underwrites a book of business and manages underwriting quality and portfolio.
• Develops strong relationships with producers and coordinates with claims, actuary, and risk control teams.
• Mentors and coaches less experienced underwriters and participates in technical training.
