Job summary

Tyson & Mendes is building a new Inland Empire team with a permanent Redlands office. We seek motivated litigation associates to take ownership, mentor peers, and contribute to growing the office from the ground up.

You will work with experienced litigators, handle substantive work, and receive hands-on mentorship to accelerate your development as a litigator. California bar license is required.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California bar license.
• 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload, from discovery through trial.
• Prior insurance defense experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop compelling case strategies and drive results.
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff at all experience levels.
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys, contributing to team growth and success.
• Gain greater exposure to the courtroom as careers progress.
