Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group in Novi, MI is seeking an ink technician to support our flexographic press operators in the print production environment. You will be responsible for procurement, creation and maintenance of inks, coating and varnishes, labeling containers and stocking related consumables.

The role requires hands-on ink staging, inventory control, color matching familiarity, and collaboration with Pre-Press to handle special colors and orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a printing environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and certify inks for all jobs in production.
• Follow SOPs and use tools/software to ensure ink quality.
• Stage inks and maintain ink levels at each press prior to jobs.
• Order and maintain inventory for consumables including inks.
• Maintain ink area and GCMS library for digital color standards.
• Process ink returns and recertify to standards before shelving.
• Assist production operators with ink-related troubleshooting on press.
• Coordinate with Pre-Press for new orders or special color work.
• Follow Fortis Solutions Group procedures and work rules.
