Injection Operator Night Shift 7pm-7am on 2-2-3 Schedule

Injection Operator performs various tasks requiring knowledge of injection processes and is responsible for day-to-day operations of PET and HDPE injection equipment (primarily Husky, but also other OEMs).

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for overall preparation, setup, starting, and running injection equipment.
• Perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed, without performing mechanical work without prior approval.
• Accurately complete and update logs such as injection preform/cap logs, destruction logs, and quality forms.
• Recognize unsafe conditions and follow safety rules, including proper PPE use.
• Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas.
• Define differences between Vpet, Rpet & HDPE resins and identify parts safe for grinding and reintroduction.
• Maintain quality standards and report defects immediately.
• Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties when required.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance.
• Understand computer systems like Shotscope, Electric80, Ignition, etc.
• Understand line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
• Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
• Attend to regular and predictable attendance, and work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
• Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

• Preferred: 4+ years in similar environments, managing people/projects.
