Job summary

Ptr-Tool-and-Plastic is seeking a Plastics Processor with solid experience in injection molding to support process leads and drive quality and efficiency on the shop floor.

The role requires reading specifications, adjusting molding parameters, and performing data recording and mold setting tasks. Candidates should have at least 3 years in injection molding and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work modified hours on short notice.
  • Ability to communicate across departments professionally.
  • At least 3 years in the injection molding industry.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, bend and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Able to use measuring tools to determine that Quality Assurance specifications are mer.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output.
  • Perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for customer issues or to initiate continuous improvement.
  • Responds to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions.
  • Read specifications to determine setup and prescribed temperature and time settings.
  • Regulate molding temperature, volume, pressure and time
  • Record all necessary data pertaining to assigned job instructions.
  • Assist with the setting of molds
