Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Injection Molding Technician in Gurnee, IL. Pay rate is $23.00 – $25.00/hr with a 2-2-3 schedule and training week. The role involves setting up molds, operating plastic molding machines, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has mold setting experience, a high school diploma, and strong English communication skills. Overtime opportunities are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have prior mold setting experience.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate intermediate math and literacy skills.
• Have vision corrected to 20/30 in both eyes.
• Can frequently squat to lift/move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Are comfortable using computers, precision measuring instruments, hand tools, movable stairs, overhead cranes, and safety equipment.
• Own your own tools and tool box/cart.

Responsibilities

• Removing and mounting molds in injection molding machines, including connecting water cooling, hydraulic, and pneumatic lines.
• Reading and comprehending specifications, blueprints, operating manuals, and following procedures.
• Setting up molds in molding machines to produce plastic components.
• Maintaining molding machine cleanliness and performing minor repairs under supervision.
• Communicating with coworkers and supervisors to ensure continuous production.
• Keeping the setup room and production floor clean and orderly.
• Cleaning molds daily and performing automation validations with documentation.
• Supporting safety and quality programs and initiatives.
• Being available for overtime when schedule requires.
