Job summary

CG Plastics is a leading tryout and production manufacturing facility for plastic injection molding, located in Comstock Park, MI (just north of Grand Rapids). We have a 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs. 7am-5pm) opening for an experienced Injection Molding Setup Technician or Die Setter.

This role will support mold setup of injection tooling, perform material changes, transport and install molds, and start up within validated parameters, while keeping the work area and equipment clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years Die Setter experience in molding.
• Experience on 85 to 2300 ton equipment preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination; mechanically inclined.
• Strong reading of component specifications and prints.
• Solid math skills and measurement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection mold tooling and perform material changes.
• Adjust equipment to meet production rates and quality specs.
• Troubleshoot basic machinery and feeding systems.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane for material movement.
• Maintain paperwork and keep work area clean and safe.
