Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous plastic injection molding experience required
• Experience operating and monitoring injection molding machines
• Experience with machine setup, production runs, material handling, and quality inspection
• Ability to troubleshoot basic production or machine issues
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to safely operate applicable tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Dependable and able to work a full-time schedule
• Ability to follow company safety rules and procedures

Responsibilities

• Set up and assist with new production runs
• Operate and monitor injection molding/production equipment
• Inspect finished parts for defects and quality issues
• Check for short parts or improperly produced products
• Trim and assemble parts as needed
• Weigh, pack, sort, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Properly mix materials required for production
• Keep sufficient material in the hopper/dryer to prevent production interruptions
• Notify supervisors of material or supply shortages
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of assigned equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all workplace and equipment safety procedures
• Report unsafe conditions or behavior to a supervisor
• Work professionally and respectfully with coworkers and supervisors
