Job summary

Clarios is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to support high-volume manufacturing and drive process improvements on the floor in our Florence, KY facility. This hands-on role partners with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Toolroom, Automation, and Engineering to ensure safe, efficient operations and sustained quality with cost control.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in injection molding environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving for molding and quality issues.
  • Experience optimizing process parameters and supporting production start-ups.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and start up injection molding processes following mold changes and production requirements to achieve stable and repeatable production.
  • Troubleshoot molding defects, process variations, and quality issues to minimize downtime and improve product quality.
  • Lead scrap reduction initiatives through root cause analysis, 5 Why investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Analyze production, downtime, scrap, and quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with established process parameters, standards, and best practices.
  • Support process trials, mold validations, capability studies, and equipment performance evaluations to improve manufacturing efficiency and process capability.

Job description

We're hiring an Injection Molding Process Technician to support manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment. This is a hands‑on plant‑based role responsible for optimizing injection molding processes, troubleshooting quality and performance issues, reducing scrap, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Toolroom, Automation, and Engineering teams, this position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manufacturing operations.

This role is essential to maintaining production performance, improving process stability, and delivering high‑quality products to customers. The Injection Molding Process Technician serves as a technical resource on the manufacturing floor, supporting process optimization, problem resolution, and continuous improvement efforts that directly impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Schedule: 2-2-3 / 12 hour shifts

What Does Success Look Like
  • Optimize and start up injection molding processes following mold changes and production requirements to achieve stable and repeatable production.
  • Troubleshoot molding defects, process variations, and quality issues to minimize downtime and improve product quality.

What We Look For
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in injection molding manufacturing environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills related to molding processes and quality issues.
  • Experience optimizing injection molding process parameters and supporting production start‑ups.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
Preferred
  • Experience with hot runner systems.
  • Experience with Milacron, Engel, Fanuc Roboshot, or similar injection molding equipment.
  • Experience conducting process audits, capability studies, and mold validation activities.
