Job summary

I I Stanley Co., Inc is seeking a qualified engineer for Battle Creek, MI to develop molded parts and oversee injection molding processes. The role includes collaborating with design and production teams to optimize cycle times, quality, and yield, while supporting new product development and tooling improvements.

Qualified candidates will have extensive molding experience, machine startup skills, and robot programming ability.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of injection molding processing experience
• Ability to change over and start up molding machines
• Ability to program and place robots
• Knowledge of mold structure and mechanical movements
• S Office software proficiency

Responsibilities

• Develop new product molded parts to achieve target quality, cycle time, and yield
• Procurement and installation of new production machinery when needed
• Pursue technology advancements to improve production capabilities
• Review product design and molding/tooling to drive productivity, quality and safety
• Participate in New Product Development group
• Provide support to New Product Development group
• Support ALP with current production engineering changes
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new product molded parts to achieve target for quality level, cycle time, and yield.
• Participate in procurement and installation of new machinery for production needs when necessary.
• Seeking advancements in technology that will improve I I Stanley's production abilities.
• Participate in design review to review product design, analyze part shape for molding process, analyze tooling, and recommend improvements leading to increased productivity, quality and safety.
• Attend and participate in New Product Development group.
• Provide support to New Product development group.
• Provide support to ALP for current production engineering changes when needed.
• Performs other duties, tasks, or projects at the direction of immediate supervisor

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 8-12 YEARS OF INJECTION MOLDING PROCESSING
• Ability to change over and start up molding machines
• Ability to program and place robots
• Knowledge of mold structure and understanding of mechanical movements
• S office software

OPTIONAL SKILLS:

• Knowledge of plastic polymers
• Ability to program 6 axis robots
• Ability to build end of arm tooling

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred
• High School Diploma with equivalent experience without degree
