AppleOne Employment Services is seeking personnel to operate and monitor injection molding machinery to support production schedules and quality standards. The role includes routine maintenance, addressing minor mechanical issues, and supporting material handling in packaging processes as needed.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, maintaining cavitation verification, and updating production information. Training others and assisting with process improvements may be required.

Formación

• Experience operating injection molding equipment.
• Familiar with changeovers and color changes.

Descripción del empleo

Operating and monitoring injection molding machines to ensure continued manufacturing of plastic closures to meet production schedules, safety standards, and quality specifications. This role supports consistent production by performing routine maintenance checks and promptly addressing minor mechanical issues to ensure minimal machine downtime. Supporting the efficient storage, handling, and transportation of materials used in the packaging process as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure injection machines run according to production schedule and standards
• Respond promptly to machine alarms
• Maintain material supplies to machines
• Verify cavitation and complete Injection Verification Log at the start of each shift
• Update production information on WE3 when necessary
• Assist with training others
• 2.2 Process Control & Troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot injection and accessory equipment, involving the Process and Maintenance teams as necessary
• Initiate corrective actions for non-conformances
• Set up for changeovers, color changes, document adjustments and initiate changeover sheets and first-off red flags
• Perform cavity plate transfers and improve cycle times
• Perform and document quality checks at prescribed intervals
• Issue work orders for machine, mold, and safety concerns
• Enter scrap and downtime into WE3 system
• 2.3 Machine Maintenance Housekeeping
• Conduct timely preventative maintenance for injection machines, molds, and accessorial equipment
• Ensure the Masterbatch room is maintained in an orderly fashion and scan masterbatch accurately
• Ensure proper disposal of scrap materials into designated containers
• Dispose of scrap and record it in the system
• Package and label finished products as required
• Ensure proper packaging is utilized as per the Bill of Material and that labeling of WIP and finished goods are completed and accurate
• Document materials used during changeovers
