Job summary

Micron Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support medical device and contract manufacturing operations in Fitchburg, MA. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve injection molding presses, robotics, and CNC machinery to maximize uptime.

The role requires hands-on experience with injection molding equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems, and familiarity with CMMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in injection molding/plastics/industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of injection molding presses and auxiliaries.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and CMMS.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently or in a team.
• Experience with Engel, Arburg, Sodick, Toyo or similar equipment and robotics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on injection molding presses, robots, CNCs, and auxiliaries.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support installation, startup, relocation, and commissioning of equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Collaborate with Process Technicians, Production Supervisors, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
• Adhere to safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and ISO 13485 requirements.
