Job summary

Terumo Medical Corporation in Elkton, MD seeks a Maintenance Technician to sustain injection molding machines, molds, and extrusion lines. You will perform preventive and emergency maintenance, changeovers, and part sourcing, ensuring quality and uptime across manufacturing processes.

You will work under supervision with a focus on safety, documentation, and continuous improvement in a regulated environment, contributing to project upgrades and engineering collaboration.

Qualifications

  • AA degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in production maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with injection molding equipment and extrusion lines is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and with quality systems.
  • Proficient communication and teamwork in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines, molds, and extrusion lines to maintain yield and efficiency.
  • Perform emergency and preventive maintenance on production equipment and tooling.
  • Hang molds and execute mold changeovers; load programs and complete required paperwork.
  • Order spare parts and manage inventory; liaise with vendors for parts and information.
  • Disassemble/assemble tooling with precision; use SolidWorks drawings to check tooling and order parts.
  • Diagnose machine electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical problems and repair as needed.
  • Work with engineering on new projects and upgrades to production equipment.
  • Maintain documentation and follow Terumo Quality System requirements.
