Job summary

Intellectt Inc is seeking an Automation Technician to support injection molding automation systems, robotic operations, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance in Lake Bluff/Libertyville, IL.

The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, molding trials, and collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, productivity, and product quality.

Qualifications

• We require a hands‑on expert in automation for injection molding and robotics.
• Experience with robot programming, fault diagnosis, and process optimization is essential.
• Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and to interpret PLC/HMI data.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues with robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
• Program and troubleshoot molding robots for part handling, degating and packaging.
• Modify robot paths to improve cycle time and quality.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Maintain maintenance logs and support molding trials and new launches.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in Kaizen/lean activities.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
