Cesna Recruitment is seeking an Injection Mold Specialist / Supervisor / Assistant Manager to lead daily molding operations, ensure quality and safety, and drive process improvements in a manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes machine setup, process control, and collaboration with maintenance and tooling teams to minimize downtime and improve cycle times.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience in plastics.
• 1 to 5+ years of progressive injection molding operations and process troubleshooting.
• Automotive experience is a plus.

Mansioni

• Set up, start-up, and changeover of Injection molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliaries.
• Monitor process parameters: temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, and cycle times.
• Troubleshoot defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, and weld lines.
• Ensure proper material handling, drying, and traceability of thermoplastics and regrind.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Tooling to resolve wear issues.
• Maintain 5S and follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

The Injection Mold Specialist / Supervisor / Asst. Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing daily injection molding operations, process controls, and machine setups to ensure parts are produced safely, efficiently, and to customer quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform and support the setup, start-up, and changeover of injection molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment according to production schedules.
• Monitor and maintain established injection molding process parameters, including temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time, and cycle time.
• Identify and troubleshoot molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, and weld lines.
• Ensure proper drying, blending, handling, and traceability of thermoplastic materials and regrind.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Tooling departments to resolve machine, robotic, hydraulic, electrical, and mold wear issues.
• Maintain 5S standards and strictly adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands-on knowledge of injection molding processes, machines, molds, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot common injection molding defects and optimize cycle times.
• Solid understanding of thermoplastic materials, resin handling, and material controls.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1 to 5+ years of progressive experience in injection molding operations, mold changes, and process troubleshooting (Automotive preferred).
