Job Title: Injection/Blow Molding Press Operator

Reports To: Group Lead/Shift Supervisor

Direct Reports: None

Status: Onsite Hourly – Direct Labor

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Abide by all Safety expectations outlined by the organization
• Responsible for visual inspection of production from defects based on standards
• Verify that equipment is operating properly. Notify Team Leader or Group Leader as needed
• Must be able to follow all job specific Work Instructions. (Standard Work Instructions)
• Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping by 5S standards in the assigned work area. Work areas must be kept clear of debris or any items which are not necessary to perform the work assignment.
• Install components (clips, screws) and have good vision to detect defects on the plastic parts.
• Must be able to stand for 2-4 hours at a time
• Cross train in multiple operations and rotate through tasks within the department.
• Communicate properly to leadership of any problems/changes in the machine or part appearance
• Able to operate and inspect parts from multiple machines while working in high heat conditions

Experience, Educational and Training Preferences:

• 1-3 years of automotive or plastic manufacturing experience a plus but not required
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements:

• 100% of the time will be spent on the production plant floors walking, standing and engaged in the activities associated with the role
• Be comfortable with lifting, squatting, and repetitive movements
• Must be able to team lift a minimum of 50 pounds, 25 pounds alone
• Be able to work in an environment that is climate controlled but is exposed to potential heat, rain, and cold
