Job summary

DSNWK is hiring paraprofessionals/personal assistants in NWKS, including Hays and surrounding towns. Roles are full-time, part-time, and PRN with a starting wage of $14.00 per hour, plus no-experience-required entry and paid training.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered to newly hired staff, with benefits such as PTO, BCBS health/dental/prescription, Vision Care Direct, Aflac, FSA/HSA, life insurance, and KPERS retirement. Positions support adults with IDD in their homes and communities.

Qualifications

• No experience required for Personal Assistants; training will be provided.
• Experience credit applied toward starting wage for similar work or work with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with living skills (grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking) for adults with IDD in their home and community.
• Provide support to individuals served.
• Advocate for people with disabilities and their everyday choices.
