Job summary

Steadfast Staffing Solutions is seeking an Injection Mold Operator for a 6 am–4 pm Mon-Thu shift. You will set up and run molding machines, inspect parts, and help keep production safe and efficient. Heavy lifting and training are included to support skill development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Shift - 6 am-4pm Mon-Thursday Mold Operator Repetitive hand batching for compression molds. These are heavy so someone comfortable with heavy lifting is what they need. Not a hard job to learn and assistance/training is provided. Solid manufacturing background preferred

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Injection Mold Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various fabrication and machining tools, and experience in plastics injection molding processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient production workflows while ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate injection molding machines, ensuring proper machine calibration and safety procedures are followed.
• Perform quality inspections on molded parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Monitor machine operations for defects or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal output.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on injection molding equipment, including press brake machines and CNC machinery.
• Handle materials efficiently, including materials handling, fabrication, and proper storage of raw plastics and finished products.
• Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment for minor repairs or modifications to molds and machinery.
• Document production data accurately, including cycle times, defect rates, and maintenance logs.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with quality inspection teams to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
• Assist in the setup of auxiliary equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when required.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency with CNC machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other machining tools.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control.
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment for materials handling.
• Knowledge of quality inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use hand tools effectively for assembly or minor repairs.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement.
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for efficient materials management.
