Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cancer Institute infusion unit. The role requires chemo administration certification and relevant experience, with PRN scheduling and day shifts.

Availability for 1–2 shifts per week and flexibility with days and times is preferred. Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing assessments, clinical decision-making, and implementing individualized care plans while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas and BLS certification.
• BLS required; PALS/NRP preferred.
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments across multiple domains.
• Makes clinical decisions and interventions based on nursing diagnoses.
• Sets measurable goals and develops individualized care plans.
• Prioritizes follow-up assessments and adjusts plans as needed.
• Interprets diagnostics and monitors labs suitable to patient age and condition.
