Job summary

Mercy Health in Perrysburg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Infusion at Perrysburg Medical Center. The role focuses on managing patient care plans, delivering chemotherapy, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment throughout the patient’s infusion journey.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with a nursing degree and has strong assessment and leadership skills. EPIC EHR experience is a plus, with certification requirements pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as an RN.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care). ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.
• ONs Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
• One year of medical/surgical or oncology experience (preferred, not required).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates plan of care, implements treatments and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Restores, supports, promotes, rehabilitates, or palliates to maintain the physiologic, psychologic and psychosocial stability of patients across the lifespan.
• Administers chemotherapy and other medication, starts IV's, transfuses blood and blood products and performs therapeutic phlebotomies.
• Anticipates and responds with confidence and adapts to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Assists in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers.
• Other duties as assigned.
