Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe IV therapy for patients on specialty medications at the Chandler Infusion clinic. The role requires evaluating, documenting, and coordinating care with physicians, while ensuring compliance with FDA protocols and company policies.

The position involves managing sterile compounding, coordinating with the clinical team, and maintaining high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN nursing degree with RN license in state.
• BLS certification at hire.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire for full-time hires.
• 3+ years infusion therapy with specialty meds; solid IV access skills.
• Unrestricted motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including evaluating and documenting clinical assessments and IV therapy.
• Prepares/compounds sterile admixtures per FDA protocol.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care providers on clinical services.
• Administers medications to mitigate infusion reactions under supervision.
• Administers IV and subcutaneous medications and biologics per prescriber order.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of healthcare processes to meet clinical outcomes.
• Ensures patient documentation and reports are completed and filed per regulatory requirements.
• Participates in Quality Assurance activities.
