Overview

Infusion Registered Nurse - Per Diem
Spring, TX

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to join our team at our new location in Spring, TX. As an Infusion RN, you will provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and clinical guidelines. Your primary responsibilities include administering infusion treatments, calculating and mixing prescription medications, and performing skillful and accurate IV insertions. You will monitor patients before, during, and after treatments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. Prior to facility opening, training will be at the Dallas or Tyler clinic. Training reimbursement includes hotel, mileage, and meals.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range: $38.00 - $42.00 / hr
• 401K with Match
• Employment Type: Per Diem; Non-Exempt
• Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Reports to Clinical Operations Manager

Primary work location: 24345 Gosling Rd, Suite 130, Spring, TX 77389

Training Locations: Tyler, TX; Dallas, TX (addresses on file)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skilled, and attentive manner within scope of practice.
• Calculate, mix, and administer prescription medications daily.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatment.
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Document and report patient assessments to medical staff and the healthcare team on an ongoing basis.
• Perform IV insertion with skill and accuracy.
• Assist in the implementation of CQI improvement activities.
• Perform admissions and ongoing assessments; complete daily run/flow sheet review on treatments as assigned.

Additional duties and responsibilities

• Demonstrate competencies in all facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical and technical issues.
• Supervise assigned unlicensed direct patient care team.
• Enforce HIPAA compliance policies.
• Ensure complete and accurate daily electronic charting documentation and reporting in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state professional nurse licensure (required).
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Minimum of 1 year IV experience (required).
• Infusion experience (preferred).
• Certification in specialty/CRNI (Certified RN Infusion) (preferred).
• ICU/ED experience (preferred).

• Commitment to safety and excellence; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete accurate dose calculations and mix medications independently.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions and procedure manuals.

• Indoors in a medical office; regular exposure to medical equipment.
