Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Distribution associate to support warehouse functions, assemble and package patient deliveries, and manage inventory for timely home and ambulatory services.

You will handle compounding material, sterile preparations when needed, and coordinate with Pharmacy to ensure efficient deliveries while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record which meets company’s standards and must have auto insurance in effect at all times.
• Meets all state requirements for a Pharmacy Technician, which may be registration, licensure or certification
• Texas requirement: Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred; Pharmacy Technician in training required
• OHIO REQUIREMENT: Pharmacy Technicians must be registered; non-compounded drug duties only

Responsibilities

• Develops positive working rapport with courier service and understands delivery protocols.
• Maintains assigned vehicle in clean and orderly condition.
• Gathers and checks compounding material prior to entry into the clean room.
• Compounds sterile preparations as needed.
• Checks final product for particulate matter and container integrity.
• Labels compounded sterile preparations when state regulations permit
• Picks/packs supplies and coordinates delivery tickets and documentation
• Performs inventory control and stocking of inventory
• Assembles and prepares patient deliveries
• Receives and stocks incoming orders
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of returned equipment
• Keeps accurate documentation for orders and delivery processing
• Follows internal control procedures and reports concerns
