Penn Medicine in Southern New Jersey has a opening for a Infusion Pharmacy Technician.

  • The Infusion Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in the safe, accurate, and timely preparation of sterile infusion medications. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this position is responsible for compounding sterile products, maintaining cleanroom and equipment standards, managing inventory, and ensuring full compliance with USP <797>/<800, state regulations, and organizational policies. The technician partners closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to support patient care needs while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and infection control. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, label, and package sterile infusion products accurately and efficiently.
  • Compound sterile medications using proper aseptic technique in accordance with USP <797>/<800>.
  • Maintain cleanroom environments and adhere to all environmental and equipment standards.
  • Manage inventory of IV solutions, medications, supplies, and compounding materials.
  • Complete all required logs, documentation, and quality assurance checks to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Utilize pharmacy systems for order entry, batching, dispensing, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication discrepancies or workflow issues.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring, calibration, and related quality processes.
  • Support timely preparation and delivery of medications for inpatient, outpatient, or home infusion services.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous drugs.
Schedule
  • Monday - Friday: Rotating Shifts
    • 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
    • 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
    • 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Weekends & Holidays: Sat 7a - 3:30p Every 6th weekend (Cherry Hill)

Salary Range
  • $17.33 - $27.22/Hourly
