Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support patient care by preparing complex medications in a clean room compliant with USP <797> and <800>.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or be enrolled in a pharmacy program, possess a Pharmacy Technician Registration, and ideally have prior experience. Multiple career paths and a supportive team environment await you.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited entry-level degree program for pharmacy or a related field.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) must be obtained within 1 year of the start date.
• Prior work experience as a pharmacy technician required.

• Sterile Compounding of hazardous/non-hazardous commercial and investigational medications.
• Participates in continual process improvement work flows.
• Inventory management and medication tracking.

Job description

Infusion Pharmacy Technicians are an integral part of the Pharmacy Department in the mission to support patient care and research. Our technicians prepare complex preparations to treat cancer in a state of the art clean room compliant with USP <797> and <800>.

• Sterile Compounding of hazardous/non-hazardous commercial and investigational medications.
• Participates in continual process improvement work flows.
• Inventory management and medication tracking.
• Performs various regulatory and quality control tasks.
