Job summary

Prisma Health in Spartanburg is seeking a registered nurse to deliver therapies in the oncology setting, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusions, and support for radiation therapy and transplant care. You will apply evidence-based nursing processes across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to promote safe, quality patient outcomes.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, an active RN license, and flexibility to cover day shifts in outpatient oncology

Qualifications

• RN licensure active in state or compact state.
• 1 year of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS/PALS and chemotherapy/biotherapy training may be required.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures and direct patient care.
• Arrange diagnostic testing, consults, referrals and admission to hospital.
• Monitor stock and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Document vitals and encounter data; obtain medical history.
• Call in prescriptions per physician orders and communicate changes.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean, prepared work areas.
