Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the outpatient infusion center. This full-time day shift role includes 40 hours per week with occasional weekends and one holiday per year.

The unit handles chemo/biotherapy, immunotherapy, SubQ injections, and related care in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of medical oncology or infusion nursing experience, Virginia (or compact) license, and BLS; ACLS and chemo/biotherapy certifications are

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 1 year; Chemo/Bio certification within 6 months.
• At least 3 years of clinical floor nursing experience in medical oncology or infusion.
• Experience in infusion center with chemo/biotherapy, immunotherapy, SubQ injections, labs, blood products.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in outpatient infusion center.
• Administer chemo/biotherapy, immunotherapy, SubQ injections, hydration therapies.
• Care for central lines, monitor labs and blood products.
• Coordinate care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
