Job summary

M3 USA is seeking an Infusion Nurse to perform trial-related infusion and dosing procedures under a PI's direction. The role includes handling Investigational Product, collecting data from participants, and protecting their safety in accordance with protocols and regulatory standards.

The position may also involve acting as the study coordinator for limited trials, requiring collaboration with the trial team and sponsor. Licensed RNs or LPNs with BLS and GCP exposure are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of hire (RN or LPN)
• BLS certification required
• GCP training preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program

Responsibilities

• Handles Investigational Product dispensing, dosing, and inventory management.
• Provides patient consultations and education in outpatient setting under physician supervision.
• Reviews and adheres to study protocols and maintains source documentation.
• Ensures clinical activities comply with protocol, laws, and policies.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team and sponsor/vendor associates.
• Communicates with participants and caregivers; participates in trainings and GCP where required.

Job description

The Infusion Nurse performs critical trial-related procedures and makes important trial-related decisions when directed by the PI to do so. The Infusion Nurse is engaged in aspects of Investigational Product handling and has a significant role in the conduct of research. This position is primarily responsible for the accurate completion of Investigational Product dispensing and dosing, collection of information from study participants according to protocols, and for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of research participants. In addition, the Infusion Nurse may also act as the study coordinator for limited trials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Including, but not limited to the following:

• Performs activities related to Investigational product such as, but not limited to: handling and preparing, administration, and inventory management.
• Provides patient consultations and education in an outpatient setting under the direction of the physician in charge of the clinical trial.
• Reviews and adheres to assigned research study protocol.
• Maintains proper documentation and completes source documents in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and Sponsor/CRO/Vendor associates.
• Communicates with the participant as well as the participant's partner/informant/caregiver.
• Attend and successfully complete all training programs; participate in ongoing conference calls, webinars, and other professional development opportunities.
• Complete provided training and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training as required.

Education and Training Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and accredited Registered Nurse Program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of hire or Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of hire
• Current Registered Nurse certification in specialty area (if applicable)
• Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience performing Infusions
