Qualifications

• RN with ICU/ER experience (3 years)
• Current NP License
• Current BLS or ACLS/PALS certification

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to infusion room
• Provide patient education about treatment and adverse reactions
• Provide general nursing care and administer medications per protocol
• Establish IV access and central line access
• Observe, document, and report patient condition and reactions to drugs/treatments in EMR
• Document accurately in EMR
• Monitor patients in infusion rooms
• Maintain flow of patient care and documentation, handle emergencies calmly
• Replenish IV carts and clean infusion rooms
• Answer incoming calls as needed
• Follow OSHA guidelines to minimize exposure to blood borne pathogens
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Follow policies and performance improvements
