Job summary

Soleo Health is seeking a Part-time Infusion Nurse to support our Specialty Infusion patients in The Woodlands, TX. The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse provides primary patient care, including assessments, care planning, and education for infusion therapy in home or alternate sites.

Requirements include RN licensure, BSN preferred, infusion experience, ability to travel, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Schedule is 32 hours per week, four days.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with infusion therapy background.
• Infusion therapy experience with IVIG/biologics preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to other locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Establish peripheral IVs and manage central venous access (PICC, implanted port, midlines).
• Educate patients and families about infusion procedures and safety.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical records and accurate documentation.
• Support clinic operations and participate in quality improvement activities.

The Position:

The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for providing direct patient care administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectables as ordered.
• Appropriate patient education.
• Completing comprehensive nursing assessments
• Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines)
• Efficient and timely submission of clinical records
• Medication preparation and administration
• Triage infusion patient inquiries
• Ability to travel to other location(s) on occasion
• Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills
• Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations
• Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
• Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care
• Management of AIC required documentation
• Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AIC
• Management of AIC supplies
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties

Schedule:

• Part-time, 32 hours per week, 4 days per week
• Infusion Suite Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
• Must have knowledge and have used IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications
• IVIG Infusion experience preferred

Requirements

• Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
• Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy
• Current nursing license for applicable home state
• Administrative Oversight: Responsible for providing administrative oversight, including monitoring of workflows, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing resources efficiently to meet organizational objectives.
• Emergency Availability: Must be available to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of issues to minimize impact on operations. Availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the nature of the emergency.
• Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions on that license
