Job summary

Healix Infusion Therapy in Kingwood, TX, is seeking a Full-Time Infusion Nurse to coordinate and administer patient care at our Infectious Disease Office Infusion Center. This role delivers infusion therapy in a fast-paced infectious disease setting using advanced technology in an entrepreneurial environment.

You will coordinate admissions, access PICC lines, prepare medications, educate patients and caregivers, and monitor treatment, safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required.
• 2+ years RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Critical care or infusion experience preferred.
• Recent IV administration and catheter management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on site and with corporate team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new patient admissions with corporate nursing and business office teams.
• Access PICC lines for IV medication administration.
• Prepare medications for infusion in center.
• Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy.
• Clinically monitor patient treatment, safety and outcomes.
• Communicate with practice staff, corporate team, and physicians to ensure high-quality care.
• Manage onsite nursing functions including scheduling, daily charting, inventory, and follow-up coordination.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in nursing (ADN)

2+ years nursing experience in a clinical setting

Critical care or infusion experience

Job Location: Kingwood, TX 77339, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Nursing, Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Infusion Nurse to coordinate and administer patient care services at one of our Infectious Disease Office Infusion Centers located in Kingwood, TX! As an Infusion Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide clinical services in an Infectious Disease specialty facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordination of new patient admissions with the support of the corporate nursing and business office teams.
• Access PICC lines for administration of intravenous medication.
• Preparation of medication to be administered to patients in an infusion center setting.
• Patient and caregiver education regarding infusion drug therapy information.
• Clinical monitoring of patient treatment, progression, safety, and outcomes.
• Communicating care with practice staff, corporate nursing support team, business office, and client services to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
• Management of onsite nursing functions including patient scheduling, daily service charting, inventory management, and coordination of follow-up care with physicians.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in nursing (ADN).
• 2+ years’ experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting preferred.
• Critical care or outpatient/homecare infusion experience preferred.
• Recent intravenous administration and catheter management experience.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills is a must to ensure nursing professional meet our physicians’ expectations.
• Ability to work independently at the site location, and in-partnership with the corporate clinical team, and within physician practice expectations.

License and Certifications

• Texas Board of Nursing Licensed; active and unencumbered.
• Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification.
• CRNI, VA-BC, OCN preferred.
