Job summary

Infusion for Health in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our infusion center. This full-time role provides 40 hours weekly, with a schedule Monday and Friday, 8am to 4pm, in a patient-focused environment.

The LVN will perform IV therapy, monitor patients, administer medications per protocol, document in EMR, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards. California LVN licensure and IV/BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted LVN license in California.
  • IV Certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of one year post-graduate LVN experience.
  • Recent infusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients respectfully and ensure timely, safe care.
  • Provide general nursing care and administer prescribed medications.
  • Perform initial vital signs and nursing assessments for each patient.
  • Provide age-appropriate education about infusions and treatments.
  • Diligently document in EMR and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
